For those who have had lasik surgery, was it successful and was it still effective a year later?

My daughterinlaw had it done over 10 yrs ago and she's never had a problem at all. Very glad she did it. Also a friend of mine who had terrible eyesight had it done and she hasn't had any problems either
I know two people that have had it and they are doing great. And it has been a few years since they had it done
I has lasik surgery when i was 33. I waited until 1 year after I had my last kid. I wanted to get it done before age 38 because they say the success rate is higher before then. Now i am 38 and in just less than 6 months, I had taken the whole surgery for granted. I was 20 / 400 prior to surgery, in less than 3 days, I was 20 / 20 in both eyes. For 5 years now, I have not had to deal with gl es or contacts. I think in that amount of time it covered the cost of the $2200 I spent to have it done. Still 20 / 20. I know each person has different eyes. They said mine were perfect for the surgery for several different reasons. Definitely consult and definitely check your surgeon. Mine had great reputation
Wow my Mom had it done 4 years ago and she is doing great. My Sister had it done also and she had some blurring problems but after it cleared it up she is going great. My Dad is getting his done next week so around here in GR they do a great job:
I had it done a little over 5 years ago and in the last four months had to get gl es for driving after dark. Other than that it has been great. I had 20 / 15 vision in both eyes immediately and now my right eye has changed to 20 / 20. So I am pleased with the surgery. I could get an adjustment on my right eye so that I would not need the gl es at night, but it's only when I drive
I had it done about 3yrs ago. It took 3 times to get my "close" eye right. I got mono - vision. It took some getting used to, but I still have 20 / 20 & 20 / 30, I am very happy, would do it again in a min!
